what-is-Pemulen-TR2

It is a polyacrylic acid or carbomer produced by Noveon for the personal care industry which creates stable oil in water emulsions without the addition of surfactants.  Carbomers, like the Carbopols, have been used in art conservation to formulate solvent gels and aqueous gels used as cleaning agents for works of art and artifacts.
